EUROPEAN ROTORS builds on success to bring bigger event in November 2022

EUROPEAN ROTORS – The VTOL Show and Safety Conference – is looking ahead to its second iteration, to be held from 8 to 10 November, 2022, in Cologne, Germany. The show’s debut in 2021 was an encouraging success, with very strong support shown by the rotorcraft industry at a time when travel restrictions were still affecting many countries. The unique “365 digital event platform” was also established, primarily aimed at potential visitors who remained in their home countries, and its success will be continued to allow additional attendees to participate and interact with exhibitors and other aspects of the event. The organizers of EUROPEAN ROTORS are pleased to report that bookings are already well ahead of its 2021 achievements, with over 115 companies and organizations already signed up as exhibitors. These range from market heavyweights such as Airbus Helicopters, Bell, Leonardo Helicopters, Safran Helicopter Engines, Boeing Global Services, and Pratt & Whitney Canada Corp., right through to specialist suppliers such as Air Covers, Rebtech and Spider Tracks. MD Helicopters delivers MD 530F conversion to High Line Helicopters

MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) announces it delivered an FAA-certified MD 530F model aircraft to High Line Helicopters (HLH) this month. This is part of MDHI’s successful FAA-approved E-to-F conversion program. “The E-to-F conversion program provides an affordable option for MD 500E operators to boost power, capabilities, and maximum gross weight,” says Jason Lindauer, Vice President of Military and Commercial Sales. “The program transforms the MD 500E into a more powerful and capable type-certified MD 530F. The aircraft leaves Mesa with a zero-time engine for a fraction of the cost of a new helicopter saving operators time and money over buying new.” MD delivered this MD 530F to High Line Helicopters. HLH, a utility helicopter operator based in Georgia, chose to upgrade its MD 500E to an MD 530F for its increased power and capability potential for the company’s powerline and aerial vegetation management services. The updated aircraft now boasts a higher 3,350 lbs. gross weight, increased cruise speed, and improved flight characteristics in confined areas, all for comparatively low direct operating costs (DOC). Baldwin partners with JumpSeat for crowdsourced airport intel missed by NOTAMs

Baldwin Safety and Compliance announced it has partnered with JumpSeat to integrate the real-time crowdsourced application into the Baldwin flight risk assessment tool. Introduced last year, the JumpSeat app is currently free to users and a first of its kind to allow pilots to share and access important operational information that may not be addressed in a formal NOTAM and will save crews the time needed to research multiple sources. Jason Starke, Director of Safety at Baldwin Safety and Compliance commented, “The JumpSeat app caught our attention immediately and we recognized its value as another dimension to the risk assessment process. Now we can make it even easier for our clients to access local intelligence at their departure and destination airports from the Baldwin system to help make more informed decisions regarding risk associated with their trip.
