May 20, 2021 JSfirm.com, in partnership with Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC), recently awarded the Aviation Maintenance Educator and Aviation Maintenance Technician Student of the Year awards for 2021. Steven Locklear, educator at Kansas State University Polytechnic, was named the Ivan D. Livi Aviation Maintenance Educator of the Year Award for 2021. Locklear is an accomplished Aircraft Mechanic Technician and an exceptional educator; he also holds a Private Pilot license, has a Masters degree in Aviation Safety and is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree. JuliAnne Miller, who is currently enrolled at Lansing Community College, was named the James Rardon Aviation Maintenance Technician Student of the Year for 2021. Miller has made the President’s Honor Roll every semester while also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.
