Jupiter Avionics Corporation unveiled their new Eclipse Digital Audio System at the Aircraft Electronics Association annual convention in New Orleans this week. The Eclipse Digital Audio System from Jupiter Avionics follows a logical evolution of designs to arrive at the ultimate in aircraft audio distribution and control. The system allows straightforward control of multiple audio signals by up to seven users using a choice of controller styles. “Operators asked for more versatility for their communications systems and a digital platform,” said Jupiter Avionics Sales and Marketing Director Bryan Hart. “ The Eclipse Digital Audio delivers exactly what they have asked for.” The main components of the Eclipse are the JACS-001 Audio Control, the JDAC-002 Digital Audio control panel and the JCP-001 control panel. The JACS-001 Audio control is configured using Jupiter’s tried and trusted Windows® based software (ProCS) and supports either high or low impedance headsets. The control panel also allows 3D audio to be selected to augment prioritizing of radio traffic. Interfaces for loudspeakers, additional audio users, recording devices, music inputs and messaging triggers are included as standard.
